Ha! Found your LR in the Dropbox so Im just adding notes here… Apologies if you emailed me previously about it, its quite chaotic this end with different peoples approaches!
Nice to hear more of your story- thanks for sharing. Still strikes me so funny how getting sick brought you here- problem is the solution!!
Nice flow and clear ideas of your learning process and how you can develop efficient working practices to make the Dip. A revolutionary time for yourself- great…
Please disregard any irrelevant comments belore RE: LR missing!
Hi Pete, I couldn’t find your Life Review. In future I will ask Dip. Group to email me direct links to each PR. If, for example, parts of your PR 1 (like Life Review) are private, I need a link on email to locate it swiftly.
Please send me a link to your LR when you can, sorry if I have missed a link somewhere!
In general a flowing, organized and clear bit of work. Nicely considered and designed to meet your holistic needs. Great! Good to look at finances and future pathways beyond the Dip. Well done
Mix of media, genres and styles
Visuals in the form of Mind Maps were great- I particularly liked the fact you put some of your goals in present tense- helps us live into our ideals and feel it out.
Nicely presented, a hub you can add future PRs too easily. Its great you have added a blog to further showcase your work and what you are up to in the world.
Management of Output Packet Creation
On time, thanks, although could not find your LR. Nice piloting of new digital skills, great effort getting it out there to improve as your skills grow.
Seems like you spent a good balance of time on this PR, not too much not too little.
Great you have learnt some new digital skills already. Its great to reflect on how to stack functions and learn digital skills in creation of future PRs…
Would be good to include a portfolio of supporting evidence, CV, Prior Learning journals/ certificates/ photos, etc. Maybe you can add an Appendix?
Design Skills
Mind maps effective at setting goals. Nice work on this front. Is there any way to deepen your overall Goals for your ALP by looking at connections and flows between projects more? More detail on Who? When? Where? May also be helpful to create a framework to check in with in the future as well as creating a calendar of next achievable steps to keep you rolling it all out in good time.
Action learning skills (for Project and Output)
Cannot comment fully on how your LR has influenced your ALP, please let me know when I can access it. It turns out that many are finding it valuable in the group to find out more about each other, as well as reflecting on the quality of their work against others. Is there a possibility for a public one within this group?
Nice 80:20 coming through with getting a site and new software up there and getting familiar with it, a great start that will serve you well.
Nice Project Process Analysis at the end of the report, this is a great little tool that I would recommend you keep using!
This could be further enhanced with a resource review, all resources used, eg, Macbook pro, Vue mindmapping, Google Chrome web browsing, etc, etc. Makes a useful resource for others.
It would also be useful to list 3Ps development, or at least Learning Outcomes for each PR, this helps map future learning and check back in with how the pathway has been for you in the future, and what could be developed to keep growing holistically.
Outcomes
A promising start, on time and well thought through. Please note additional elements which you may wish to add to really finish off the PR.
In particular you may wish to revisit the ALP proposal and try to design in more detail, timings, with who, etc. I would like to see how this responds to your LR, theres potential for a lot of designed responses here.
Learning Journal extracts are useful to keep in touch with day to day learning and pattern observing. It would be worth starting/ including short and relevant extracts in the Appendix of each PR.
Really nice self review.
Great, thanks!

Peer Review From Bethany

Presentation & Organization of Output Packet

Is the main body direct and clear of unnecessary technical clutter?
Yes, very clearly laid out, I like the clear structure of the developments you went through. It’s quite short, I wanted to know more! But it looks like from your process reflection that you had very limited time, so considering that it’s good to see!
Is the project report easy to navigate?
Yes very, it’s good you have headings for each section
Is the project report of appropriate size? Too much, too little?
Perhaps there could have been some appendices to support your workings, you mention that there’s a lot more stuff you have that isn’t on there so perhaps you’ll be able to upload that in the future. Elements such as a CV etc to show where you started from so you can see the change in two years!
Does the report flow well?
It does, a little hard perhaps to see how you got from one step to the next, and what you will do next but the beginning to end is clear.
Mix of media, genres and styles
What do you think about choices regarding media, genre and style to enhance and support the meaning and the message of the project report?
(Media mix = (for example) video, slide presentation, written report, animations etc. Genres = story, documentary report, game, talk show etc. Styles = fonts, images, colour, graphical look and feel etc.)
Good use of mind maps and then the blog has good links to what you are doing. I am sure the web site will fill up over time with other forms of media. I think for example some photos of work you are doing would be great to see.
Management of Output Packet Creation
Was the project report submitted on time with sufficient time allowed for peer review? Do you consider the project report complete with 3 P’s, learning journal extracts and personal process review, appendices, etc?
All on time and good, maybe the three P’s would be useful for you to do because it’s quick and allows you to see the three areas of your life connecting together which may good with your busy life at the moment.
Design Skills
Articulation of Approach
Is it clear what design approaches/organizing frameworks and processes were considered for the design of the project?
It is clear you’ve taken into consideration your interests and existing skills.
Maybe a time frame could be added into your ALP
Project
Has your peer evidenced good use of design skills to influence the quality of their project and their action learning pathway?
Good observation skills in the life review
Critical Evaluation & Thinking
Any evidence of attempts to validate original thinking and has your peer provided some third-party evidence to support your conclusions? Links, references, etc?
A few in the blog, would love to see more of this!
Action learning skills (for Project and Output)
Concrete Experience (Awareness in action)
Does the report indicate balance between action and thought – does your peer seem to be able to get to action and act?
We’re not at that point yet but from what I can see the first projects are ones that are important to you (would like to know more!) so I’m sure action is soon underway
Reflective Observation (Appraisal of action outcomes)
Does your peer create the time, space for good quality reflection? Do the learning journal extracts seem useful?
Active Experimentation (Use of piloting and trials)
Does the report show readiness and inventiveness around designing and operating pilots and trials (rapid prototypes)? Is your peer “having a go” or in need of less planning and more doing?
Outcomes
Benefits to Field (Project)
Describe the 'value' of this work to the world?
It’s very useful to have these clear mind maps for everyone to see
Also looks like your projects are ones that will influence those around you and the permaculture community too
Growth of Skillflexes (Professional)
Can you reflect back professional skills you can see evolving?
seems like you are and will be working a lot with the internet which is cool, as well as interacting with people in the form of teaching
Internal Growth & Development (Personal)
Any personal insights and gains you can reflect back to your peer? Any clear (un)learning?
I was very interested to read about your episode after the hospital when you were 18. It makes sense to me that a lot of information and forming new bonds in the brain can create temporary chaos. It sounds like yours was over with a lot sooner than mine! I really appreciate hearing your experience, and am very inspired by the empowering time you are creating for yourself.
Contributes to knowledge commons
Was there any movement towards disseminating the projects learnings? (eg, workshops, online tutorials, etc) Are their clear links available to the public/ peer group
I do hope you will share this work with the public, I really think young people will appreciate the PR, and the life review, you write very well. Thank you for sharing with me!
Thank you for sharing and caring for each other’s growth, development and fulfillment. It is the desire and commitment to be of benefit that allows us to be of use!
